Plateaus
Plateaus, are not impediments,
Frustrating as they are.
Just momentary pauses,
That never leave, a scar.
They challenge me to focus more,
On what I need to do.
Accepting, while transitioning
As I, my life, renew.
At times they're most frustrating,
With progress placed on hold.
Yet Annie’s texts remind me.
Great futures will unfold.
Renewing too, my confidence,
She asks me, one through ten.
Easing my discouragement,
As I begin again,
Now buoyed by the certainty,
That I'll, my goals, achieve.
Just knowing “MOVE!” is helping me,
To, in myself, believe.
